About the 'Jam for Jimi' benefit !
Jimi is the 6 year old son of an employee at Martinis cafe. He has been
struggling for years with multiple illnesses that have left him with visual, auditory,
sensory motor integration and cognitive skill development deficits.
He has been diagnosed ADHD (Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), ODD (Oppositional
Defiant Disorder), asthma, allergies, and sleep difficulties.
Jimi struggles on a daily basis to just participate in things that most of us take for
granted. He has recently been evaluated and accepted into an innovative treatment program
at the 'Reutter & Riddle Institute
for Empowered Learning'. Sadly, insurance does not cover this program and Jimi's Mom
is facing an overwhelming financial battle in her attempts to secure the best treatment
available for her son. Thus, Martinis
wants to lend Jimi and his Mom a hand (and a Band or two) with a fundraiser.
